Silver Jackets Teams Well-Positioned to Reduce Flood Risk after Wildfire

Flood risk significantly increases immediately after a wildfire. Post-fire assessments have estimated that peak flood flows can increase as much as 1,000 percent after a wildfire because of the absence of vegetation and reduced absorptive qualities of soils.
