PRISM Precipitation Maps
The National Drought Atlas project became a supporter of Christopher Daly,
Assistant Professor, Oregon State University and George Taylor, State
Climatologist at the Oregon Climate
Service, just as they were finishing their first PRISM map. That contour map of annual precipitation throughout the contiguous 48
states was the first since the early 1960's.
The PRISM
project has progressed considerably since then. They now have
maps for 48 states individually. You can order
high resolution prints or download lower resolution gif's for each
state by clicking on the state name.
