Dr. Michael Deegan

Dr. Michael Deegan was awarded a National Research Council Research Associateship and joined IWR to work with Rolf Olsen, Laura Zepp, and the National Flood Risk Management Program on “Flood Risk Management Policies: A Critical Examination of Factors Influencing Policy Formulation, Adoption, and Implementation.”

Dr. Deegan completed his PhD in Public Policy and Administration at the State University of New York at Albany in spring 2007. His dissertation was titled “Exploring U.S. Flood Mitigation Policies: A Feedback View of System Behavior.”

Dr. Deegan has been a visiting assistant professor at SUNY-Albany. He has also been a research analyst at the Center for Policy Research at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at SUNY-Albany.
