The Institute for Water Resources (IWR) offers education and training opportunities in water resources management.

PROSPECT Courses

The Proponent-Sponsored Engineer Corps Training (PROSPECT) Program offers classroom training and distance learning and is available throughout the United States and around the world. By request, courses can be customized to meet an organization's unique training needs through onsite training that will fit local timeframes and can be taught at the site of choice. Planning Associates Program

The Planning Associates (PA) Program is an advanced training opportunity in water resources planning offered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The program curriculum is rich in team building and leadership training, experiential training in the Corps Civil Works mission areas, case studies, individual and group projects, instructional training and experiences, and many networking opportunities with leaders from the public and private sectors. The PA Program is targeted to journeyman-level professionals in the field of water resources.

Advanced Degree Program in Integrated Water Resources Planning & Management

The Advanced Degree Program in Integrated Water Resources Planning & Management offers Master's and doctorate level degrees in water resources planning and management. The Corps developed an inter-disciplinary curricula in partnership with the Universities Council on Water Resources (UCOWR) for water resources practitioners. Under the program students have the option to pursue these degrees at one of the six participating universities through a combination of on-site and distance learning classes.
