PORT SERIES REPORT NO. 41

PORTS OF BUFFALO, ROCHESTER, OSWEGO, AND
OGDENSBURG, NEW YORK

   The Navigation Data Center, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, announces the availability of Port Series Report No. 41. The report comprises a total of 39 facilities, of which 28 are located in Buffalo; 3 in Rochester; 6 in Oswego; and 1 each in Ogdensburg and Dunkirk, New York. It supersedes a similar report published in 1990.

   Numerous companion reports are also available for purchase, four being revised since 2000: Port Series Reports No. 42, United States Ports on Lake Erie; No. 43, Port of Cleveland, Ohio; No. 44, Port of Toledo, Ohio; and No. 49, Ports of Duluth, MN and Superior, WI (see Ordering Guide).

   Port Series Reports delineate the Nation's principal coastal, Great Lakes, and inland port and waterway terminal and transfer facilities. The publications, produced under authority of law, are intended to meet the needs of Federal, State, and municipal agencies; port and waterway development authorities; and others concerned with the utilization and improvement of existing terminals, and the planning and development of new ones.

   Facility descriptions include details of berthing accommodations, petroleum and bulk handling, intermodal transfer, handling equipment, transit sheds, warehouses, grain elevators, and other elements associated with port and waterway operations. The locations of the described facilities are depicted on two aerial photographic maps of the waterfront area.

   Port Series Report No. 41 may be purchased for $18.00 or the five reports giving coverage of Great Lakes port facilities may be purchased for $69.00 (see Ordering Guide). Publications are mailed postpaid (4th Class Mail) on the same day that order is received, unless a prepaid alternate delivery method is specified.
