    USACE's Institute for Water Resources (IWR), Water Resources Center (WRC) is seeking a permanent Interdisciplinary position to serve as the Institutes’ subject matter expert associated with climate sciences, resilience and adaptation.  USACE requires a Chief Climate Scientist to serve as the agency’s principal expert on the state of climate science, including which aspects of that field are ready to move from the domain of research into piloting and ultimately mainstreaming into USACE missions.  This expert will also advise both senior leadership and project teams on technical aspects of climate science, identify and address knowledge gaps and other research needs, and interface with key academic, interagency, and international partners.
