USACE's Institute for Water Resources (IWR), Navigation and Civil Works Decision Support Center (NDC) is seeking a permanent Statistical Assistant responsible for managing the organization’s statistics which includes collecting (domestic), acquiring (foreign), and processing statistics.
This position will be filled on a permanent basis. Position is being filled at the GS 9 grade level.
This position is located in New Orleans, LA.
Duties
- Manages the Organization’s statistics which includes collecting (domestic), acquiring (foreign), and processing statistics.
- Performs processing, review, and coordination of Waterborne Commerce Statistics Center (WCSC) data to prepare them for integration into the larger framework of transportation statistics.
- Participates in review, updating, and improvements to statistical products and services or the development of new and improved statistical methods.
- Explores the appropriate formats for the dissemination of domestic and foreign waterborne commerce and vessel information.
- Maintains the integrity of statistical data management and processing practices for the Organization.
