Strategic Partnerships

Support to Combatant Commands

WRC helps deliver vital engineering solutions to the DOD Combatant Commands (CCMDs)Army Service Component Commands (ASCC) and their partners to contribute to regional and U.S. security.

This includes:

  • Technical assistance to mitigate flooding and sedimentation problems related to existing infrastructure.
  • Supporting CCMDs and their partners with drought forecasting to avoid famine-related instability,
  • Disaster preparedness and emergency operations workshops and tabletop exercises,
  • Training on dam and levee safety analysis, engineering modeling, and flood risk management,
  • Support and training for regional planning exercises, such as for a new port feasibility.

WRC performs this work in alignment with the USACE Interagency and International Services (IIS) Program

International Center for Integrated Water Resources Management (ICIWaRM)

ICIWaRM is a technical center of the Department of the Army that works with international organizations to address water security and water related challenges through new knowledge, innovative technologies, collaborative interdisciplinary scientific research, networking, training and capacity development - focusing on readily transferable, practical science and technology.
