Bureau of Reclamation (DOI)

The Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have agreed to collaborate in efforts leading to the improved management of water and related land resources. The partners’ cooperation can enhance public services and resource management and protection, as well as make efficient use of each agency’s resources and abilities. IWR plays a role in the implementation of this agreement.

Purpose: This partnership aims to promote collaborative efforts to improve the management of water and related land resources.

  • Water resources management, including sustainable development, flood control and ecological concerns
  • Hydropower
  • Dam safety
  • Emergency management
  • Security
  • Recreation
  • Cooperation with State, Tribal and local entities
